Information for Home-educated applicants.

Who will be in my class?
All of our home-educated students will be in classes alongside full-time students studying the same subject.

What will I be doing?
You will enrol on a part-time study programme which includes your chosen subject and Maths & English at the appropriate level.

What level will I be studying?
When you apply your English & Maths levels will be assessed to help determine a suitable level to study at the College.

Typically, students aged 14 will study a Level 1 vocational course, students who are 15 will typically study a Level 2 vocational course.

Where will I be studying?
You will be based at the main Suffolk New College campus in Ipswich Town Centre.

You will have access to state of the art facilities and equipment and will be taught by industry professionals.

What Support is available?
Each home-educated student is assigned a Student Support Advisor who monitors attendance, provides support and is a home contact.

Each application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis so we fully understand the needs of the individual and make sure the appropriate support is put in place.

What types of subjects have home-educated students studied in the past?
Subjects studied in the past include Media, Music, Childcare, Hair & Beauty, Construction to name a few!
