Training for Employers

An increasing number of organisations require training services to be provided on a ‘bespoke basis’, whereby the location, timing and course programme can be tailored to suit specific training objectives.

We are able to discuss modifying, expanding and tailoring any of the open courses found on this site or create entirely new courses if necessary. Course content can be amended to ensure that delegates are trained in accordance with your specific company systems and procedures, if necessary, we can also provide on-going back-up and verification services.

Our staff are able to travel extensively throughout the region to present our courses to your business. We have access to a large number of training resources at Suffolk New College or can run courses at your premises at a time to suit your requirements.

If you feel your company can benefit from our bespoke training solutions then please let us know how we can help.

Work Experience

During your study programme at Suffolk New College you will have the exciting opportunity to enhance your exceptional learning experience through completing subject-relevant work experience.

“Planning your work experience placement in advance is crucial to securing the placement of your choice. Your placement will give you an invaluable insight into your chosen career path to discover if this profession is really for you. It will build your confidence, improve your communication skills and looks great on your CV when applying for future employment.”

Work experience must be course related and relevant so that our students gain a meaningful insight that covers a practical range of activities. It is the students’ responsibility to research and organise their own placement.

To assist with this, Suffolk New College has two Work Experience Co-ordinators in addition to your progress tutor who will be on hand to support you throughout the academic year with this process.

They will provide Information, Advice & Guidance during PSE sessions, 1:1 appointments and a weekly drop-in, based in the Learning Curve.

Our Co-ordinators have a wealth of knowledge and over 15 years experience within this area.

If you are an employer and would like to offer a work experience placement to our students please do contact us: workexperience@suffolk.ac.uk or 01473 382932
