Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship

Entry Requirements: Good GCSE grades (D and above)
Start Date: On-going Attendance: Work based learning full-time
Duration: 18 months if studying the technical certificate or 12 months if already obtained
To achieve the level 2 Apprenticeship, you will need to complete the Level 2 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals.
To do this you will need to gain a minimum of 48 credits. At least 29 credits must be at Level 2 or above. The qualification is made up of two mandatory units and a number of optional units.

Students that successfully complete their apprenticeship can progress onto Level 3 or seek to gain part/full time employment.
There are no costs to the Apprentice aged between 16 and 23 to complete an Apprenticeship.
The training for Apprentices that are aged between 16 and 18 is fully funded. For Apprentices that are aged 19 - 23 at the start of the course, a one-off training contribution fee is required from their employer (who may be eligible for a grant).
