This programme is designed for learners in a minimum of 30 hours employment per week within a business administration role. You will be provided with a bespoke learning programme that meets the needs of you and your employer. The units within your diploma will be tailored to your workplace activities. Where relevant, your employer will agree a suitable time for your training at the College, so that you can build knowledge and skills even further.
An assessor will visit you at regular agreed intervals to develop and assess your knowledge and competency. There are a wide range of supportive learning resources on our virtual learning environment for you to interact with. There are normally opportunities to attend workshops at Suffolk New College according to your training need. This framework can support you in a number of jobs within the Business Administration industry including diverse areas such as HR, Accounts, Reception, Schools and Surgeries, as well as general office and administrative roles, and you will develop soft skills such as communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills in relation to this role.
A number of our work based learning apprentices have the opportunity to progress onto the Advanced Apprenticeship in Business & Administration as well as use the achievement of their framework to secure a permanent position with their current employer. We have an excellent record of apprentices gaining sustainable destinations after completing their framework.
Student Case Study
Emily Jones said: “I would thoroughly recommend the Business Administration Framework. I learnt essential skills for the workplace, not just in Business Administration, but in ICT Functional Skills. I was also given the opportunity to progress to a higher level than required for my own personal benefit. I now have a permanent role within the Human Resources Team where I completed my apprenticeship. On a daily basis I am using skills I picked up within my learning. I had a brilliant Assessor and I could not have done it without their support and humour!”
There are no costs to the Apprentice aged between 16 and 18 to complete an Apprenticeship.
Apprentices that are aged 19 and up at the start of the course, a one-off training contribution fee is required from their employer (who may be eligible for a grant).
