Your Framework:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership  
  • Functional Skills in English Level 2
  • Functional Skills in Maths Level 2
  • Level 3 Technical Certificate in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership Principles

Entry Requirements: A full Level 2 qualification in Front of House or Professional Cookery  or equivalent and a grade D or Level 1 qualification in English and Maths.

Attendance: 30 hours of employment per week

Start Date: At any point   Duration: Normally 18 months

Framework Overview

This programme is designed for learners in a minimum of 30 hours employment per week within the hospitality industry. You will be provided with a bespoke learning programme that meets the needs of you and your employer and is predominantly tailored to your workplace activities. Your employer will agree the suitable time you train at the College so that you can build knowledge and skills even further, and this combined with the support and skills building that you receive in the workplace from your employer, will enable you to be earning a wage while you become a competent professional in advanced front of house skills. While on this apprenticeship, you will study units on how to Provide Leadership for your Team; Develop Productive Working Relationships with Colleagues; Contribute to the Control of Resources;  Maintain the Health, Hygiene, Safety and Security of the Working Environment; Lead a Team to Improve Customer Service; Supervise Food Services;  Supervise Drink Services; Supervise Reception Services; Supervise Cellar and Drink Storage Operations; Improve Relationships with Customer;  Contribute to the Development of a Wine List.

Next Steps

On successful completion of this apprenticeship, you may wish to apply for a foundation degree programme in hospitality or seek employment that could see you employed as a supervisor, team leader or manager of a hotel and restaurant.

Fees

There are no costs to the Apprentice aged between 16 and 23 to complete an Apprenticeship.

The training for Apprentices that are aged between 16 and 18 is fully funded; for Apprentices that are aged 19 - 23 at the start of the course, a one-off training contribution fee is required from their employer (who may be eligible for a grant).

For Apprentices aged 24 and over and enrol upon an Advanced (Level 3) Apprenticeship, the employer will be charged a fee.
