    Course Overview

If you wish to set up your own business or practice as a freelance consultant then this course is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to develop your career as a business professional with a creative flair to support you being successful. This qualification is suitable for students who don’t yet want to progress to university or apprenticeship straight after L3, but wish to set up their own business or work on an identified project. You can use this qualification to support you whilst starting up or explore your entrepreneurial skills by developing your management and business skills in order to respond creatively to business opportunities that arise.

You will also have the opportunity to work with the Suffolk Business School at University of Suffolk with staff and students from Entrepreneurship and Innovation programmes.

All students who have not achieved a grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English or maths will need to study these subjects alongside their chosen qualification.

    Course Highlights

If you wish to start your own business this qualification will support you to think creatively about how you set yourself up as an independent consultant or practitioner. Whilst the focus of the programme is creativity this can apply to any business proposal or area where the ability to think creatively and be solution focused is fundamental to the business being successful and sustainable.

Taught by media professionals who all have been successful in ensuring businesses use media to promote themselves the course will offer an exciting insight into how businesses now need to be technology savvy in order to flourish and survive.

You may also be able to put your skills to use outside the College, by being part of a student company that supports different live projects.
