These employer-approved qualifications cover a good grounding for a variety of hospitality areas such as; front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, cookery and hospitality services all leading to employment opportunities.
The NVQs are suitable for anyone either in full-time employment or progressing from a Level 1 qualification or those who are able to start a qualification at Level 2.
All students who have not achieved a grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English or maths will need to study these subjects alongside their chosen qualification.
This study programme places the focus on covering the skills and techniques required to prepare and cook quality dishes to guests/customers. You will develop both the knowledge and the practical skills which will allow you to work in a variety of establishments and settings, including hotels, restaurants, and specialist events catering.

40% of students on this course moved straight into full-time employment in the Hospitality industry, working in hotels, restaurants, cafes, or progressing into event catering in the corporate world. Other students chose to undertake Apprenticeships within Hospitality or full-time employment.
No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2022.
