    Course Overview

    This course is based at our Suffolk Rural (Otley) campus.

    The purpose of this qualification is to develop the transferable skills, attributes, and behaviours needed for you to progress to further study and ultimately to employment.

    The course is designed to be delivered in an applied way, with an emphasis on demonstrating what you can do, rather than what you know in theory. The qualification brings together appropriate content with practical and technical skills.

    This qualification will contain units from the subject areas of horticulture, arboriculture (forestry) and floristry.

    All students who have not achieved a grade 4 or above in GCSE English and/or maths will need to study these subjects alongside their chosen qualification.

    Whilst undertaking Arboriculture learning it is important that learners understand the inherent physically demanding nature of the course. It is therefore important that students inform the college of any relevant long or short term medical condition to allow appropriate risk assessment to ensure your safety during learning. This can be disclosed either on enrolment or raised to your teaching team. All information disclosed in this regard will be treated confidentially.
