This study programme provides an exciting introduction to the subject of media and offers grounding in many of the key areas:
It is a dynamic and stimulating course that is suitable for those who have little or no experience of Media but lots of enthusiasm. The media course is 100% coursework and will end with a final major project of your choice. You will be graded pass, merit or distinction on the course.
All students who have not achieved a grade C or grade 4, or above in GCSE English or Maths or both will need to study an English or/and Maths qualification alongside their chosen main qualification.

4 GCSEs at grade D or grade 3, or level 1 equivalent. PGS interview.
You will have a great introduction into all aspects of the media industry and be taught using industry standard equipment and by media professionals.
You will learn about the media industry and be able to analysis media products and research into your own media creations.
You will go on trips, such as the Harry Potter Experience, and have guest speakers come in to talk to you.
You will also be able to put your skills to use outside the College, by taking part in work experience.
86% of students progressed to Level 3 programmes at Suffolk New College including level 3 Media, Art & Design and Music Technology. 14% of student have achieved employment or are seeking employment in the creative industries.
No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2017.

There is £50 trips and materials payment to be made, to cover specialist materials and experiences.
