    Course Overview

    This course is based at our Ipswich campus.

    You will learn how to carry out a consultation to meet your clients’ needs and be able to make recommendations to your client in terms of their hand and nail care. As part of preparing your working area, you will learn to select the products, tools, and equipment that suit your clients’ needs. Within the manicure treatment, you will learn how to reduce, even, and smooth the nails, improve the condition of the cuticle area, smooth and hydrate the client’s skin, and apply a finish to the nails, according to your client’s preference.

    Tuesday evenings 5:30pm - 9:00pm

    Course Highlights

    Within this award you will learn how to prepare your professional working area and provide a manicure treatment maintaining effective health, hygiene, and safety throughout. You will be assessed in a practical task and will need to fully demonstrate your knowledge and understanding via assignment work and a test.

    Next Steps

    The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy and provide you with the foundation for further learning, and to enable you to perform your own salon services.

    Upon completion you will have built confidence in manicure, and may like to consider a full time beauty therapy qualification to expand your knowledge further.
