    4 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 (A-C) to include English, maths and science. Alternatively a Level 2 Diploma at Merit/Distinction, including English and maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.

    Course Overview

    This course is based at our Suffolk Rural (Otley) campus.

    This qualification has been designed for those who would like to work as landscapers and is intended to meet industry needs for professional hard landscapers who understand the needs of soft (plant based) landscaping and vice versa.

    All students who have not achieved a grade 4 or above in GCSE English and/or maths will need to study these subjects alongside their chosen qualification.

    Course Highlights

    There is a significant skills gap and skills shortage in the landscape and horticulture industries. This market is significant in the UK and is growing as we increase our understanding of our environment's importance in the quality of life and health issues, and future environmental protection.

    Units delivered may include the following;

    • Construction of Hard Landscaped Surfaces
    • Landscape Surveying and Drawing Techniques
    • Water Management, Drainage and Groundworks in Landscape Construction
    • The Use of Plants in Landscaping

    Next Steps

    Learners may already be in the workplace and wishing to upskill or those on full time study can go onto employment.

    Tuition Costs

    No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2022.
