Course overview

The L1 Diploma Games Art & Design is designed to provide a broad, general experience in creating designs using software on a computer and by hand that can be turned into a moving image. Students who are intrigued and motivated by creating artwork and then manipulating it or with opportunities to explore, develop and test their creativity will enjoy this course.

You will look at the history of designers, artists and makers to inspire you to make your ideas. You will experiment using learning and different skills to make and design outcomes. These skills include digital art and design using Adobe Creative Suite as well as some specialist 3D modelling software, animation, painting, printing, photography and film.

By learning a broad range of skills opens up the opportunity to progress to a wide range of courses offered at SNC on the Coast (Leiston) and the Ipswich campus. You may also be given opportunities to use these new skills in work experience and community projects.
