    Course Overview

    This course is based at our Suffolk Rural (Otley) campus.

    Specialised provision for those students who require more support to settle into college life. They will get to try lots of different learning opportunities and also contribute to new ideas/activities.

    The hope is that all students will be able to move into the wider college after a year on this provision. Students on this provision will have all their support needs met throughout their timetable, and normally require at least 1:4 support, meaning they will require additional High Needs Funding to access this provision. We have various areas students can access whilst on this provision, that ensure they actively take part in meaningful learning, and we can show real progress through these activities. A thorough transition package is offered for students applying for this provision that links to an effective induction programme. This is then followed by comprehensive tracking that records progress at all times of the year. Regular assessments are carried out to ensure students are making good progress throughout their time on the course.

    Course Content includes;

    • Maths & English - either qualification or promoted within lessons
    • Planning for progression - accessing external agencies,
    • Full year tutorial/enrichment package - developing and supporting young people, enterprise

    Tuition Costs

    No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2021.
