    Course Overview

    A part-time 1 year course with a full ten unit exploration of the skills, techniques and knowledge required to become a florist. The practical course covers units in wedding and funeral floristry, arrangements and hand-tied designs along with designs for function decorating.

    You will study plant identification and plant care and the skills to monitor quality and display your floral designs . There is also a unit on art and design for florists.

    Assessment is by means of practical timed assessments, portfolios of designs, knowledge tests and projects.
