    Level 1 Introductory Welding Skills or relevant experience working within the welding and fabrication environment to include automotive.

    Course Overview

    We are pleased to be able to offer the EAL Level 2 short course in Fabrication and Welding Engineering Technology which includes the following unit:

    MIG/MAG Welding Process

    This short course will be delivered over a 5 day period at Suffolk New College in Ipswich from 0900 – 1600 with theory delivery and practical assessments being completed within the welding workshop.

    Course Highlights

    You will cover the skills and knowledge needed to prove the competences required to prepare and operate semi-automatic MIG, MAG or Flux cored-wire arc welding equipment, in accordance with instructions and/or approved welding procedures.

    Your knowledge will be sufficient to provide a sound basis for their work, and will provide an understanding of how the MIG, MAG or Flux cored-wire arc welding process works.

    You will know about the equipment, materials, consumables, safety precautions, demonstrate safe working practices throughout and will understand the responsibility they owe to themselves and others in the workplace.
