    This course is designed for personnel involved in the electrotechnical sector such as electricians, designers, inspectors who wish to update their knowledge to the IET Wiring Regulations Seventeenth Edition incorporating amendment one (2011).

    Course Overview

    This electrical training course gives the learner an understanding of the application of the IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition. It provides a facility for individuals working in the electro-technical sector to develop and/or enhance their knowledge of the Requirements for Electrical Installation.

    The IET released BS7671:2018 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations in July 2018 and all installations designed after 31st December 2018 will be required to comply with BS 7671:2018.

    Delivery:

    The course will be delivered over 6 x 3Hr evenings every Tuesday & Thursday night from your selected start date for theory delivery at Suffolk New College in Ipswich from 1800 – 2100 with an online assessment at the end of the theory delivery.

    Course Highlights

    BS7671 is the definitive standard for the electrical industry in respect of the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. It sets the requirements and operating criteria for the UK and ensures it corresponds to EC standards for wiring regulations. The Regulations apply to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations but also includes additions and alterations to existing installations.

    This course is entirely theory based and is completed by way of an online multiple choice open book exam.

    The course will be delivered over 5 x 3Hr evenings for theory delivery at Suffolk New College in Ipswich from 1800 – 2100 with an online assessment at the end of the theory delivery.
