This course is based at Suffolk New College - on the coast (Seaward Avenue, Leiston)


This qualification is suitable for those students who have not gained the entry requirements for their chosen vocational course or who do not know what they wish to study.  The course supports students who are working towards Entry Level 3 English and maths Functional Skills. The course  combines  learning, study and life skills so you can progress to Level 1 course or into apprenticeships or employment.  You will also be able to engage in tasters in areas that interest you in the Summer Term such as Construction, Creative Arts, Business, Games Design & IT, Health & Social Care or any other study programmes offered by Suffolk New College – on the coast or the full range of programmes offered at the main campus.

Next Steps

On successful completion of this course learners may be able to go onto a Vocational Level 1 course or support will be provided to look for alternatives to college.      

Tuition Costs

No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2018.
