Course overview

Level 2 Step UP

This course is suitable for learners that would like to develop the skills and qualifications needed towards progression on to vocational level 2 and 3 programmes, apprenticeships or employment.
The course is designed to accommodate Maths and English priorities.

There will be an October intake, where students will complete a Certificate in Progression and a January intake where students will complete an Award in Progression.

The course consists of a range of learner-centred units which include:

  • Improving Own Confidence- is geared to raise your awareness and existing knowledge of the Importance of improving confidence. You will identify your own personal qualities, skills and strengths, towards setting targets to achieve within the course.
  • Personal Budgeting – looking at current budgeting skills, with opportunities to confirm income and expenditure, record spending, identify various transactions and financial documents including payslips and bank statements.
  • Preparing for Work – focusing on identifying employment interests, creating or updating CVs and developing job interview skills, towards applying for work.
