A SWAP course in Health & Social Care runs in partnership between the DWP, Suffolk New College, and employers. All SWAP programmes are linked to at least 1 employer, with a guaranteed interview for a job role in their organisation upon completion of the SWAP. The course will include a wide range of practical and theory learning activities which are steered by the employers and their needs and requirements for an employee to be successful within their job role. This typically includes content on Care Values, Safeguarding, Person Centred Care, and can also include topics and training on Manual Handling, Hoist training, and more.
