Course overview

This course is designed for anyone who wants to know more about keeping poultry at home.

The course covers topics such as poultry husbandry, handling, feeding, healthcare, choosing the right breed and egg management. It is a 2 hour course that will include a mixture of theory and practical elements. This course will provide you with all the knowledge and skills you need to be an effective poultry keeper.

You will need to bring: A pen and pad for note taking. Please wear old clothing or overalls, outdoor gloves for handling the birds (if you prefer not to handle with hands) and working boots with steel toe caps if possible.

Enrolment end date: Please note that the enrolment for the course closes 3 working days prior to the start of the course. Unfortunately it is not possible to process late enrolments after that point.

Our refectories will not be open, so you may wish to bring your own refreshments with you.

Course timings: 10am to 12pm
