Course overview

This course aims to develop skills in listening, speaking and reading Polish. It lays emphasis on communication and comprehension skills but also builds on the grammar base acquired in elementary courses.

Topics covered earlier will be revised and extended and new themes introduced which will develop understanding of the society and culture of Poland.

By the end of the course you should:

  • be able to use the language with confidence for practical communication
  • have improved spoken fluency, showing a knowledge of a range of vocabulary and tenses (present, future and past)
  • be able to cope and respond with confidence to everyday situations as well as social and formal conversations and talk about your plans in the future
  • be able to use and gain higher understanding of grammar and use it in everyday life
  • have gained further insights into the culture of Poland

A native Polish teacher runs this course.

What you will need: A notepad, pen, Polish language workbook (more details of the workbook will be given in the 1st session of the course).

Enrolment End Date: Please note that the enrolment for this course closes 3 working days prior to the start of the course. Unfortunately it is not possible to process late enrolments after that point.

Timings: 6:0pm – 8:00pm

Course cost: £110

Refreshments are available from the vending machines on the campus which includes both hot and cold drinks.
