The programme is designed to introduce students to elements of a business. Students can take all elements of opt to take individual awards.
Options delivered include:
- Level 2 award in social media marketing
- Level 2 award in planning and running an event
- Level 2 award in preparing for self-employment
The aim is to prepare learners for employment or further study. The qualifications are assessed through a portfolio of evidence.
(Students need to express an interest in the subject area and demonstrate an eagerness to learn. 3 GCSE’s at grade 2 or above).
Social Media Marketing: 30th Jan – 24th Feb
This qualification explores how social media marketing is used to promote products and services. Students will be introduced to the characteristics of different audiences and how social media channels and platforms can be used to engage with them. Students will create and plan social media marketing activities and draft content to promote a product or service to an audience.
Planning & Running an Event: 27th Feb – 17th March
This qualification is designed to allow students to plan, implement and develop skills in hosting a live event.
Award in Preparing for Self-employment: 20th March – 26th May
The objective of the qualification is to prepare students for Self-Employment and make them aware of the opportunities, skills and behaviours needed to be successful, the practicalities of being self-employed and the support available to them. Students will also consider sources of income and types of expenditure, and associated record-keeping.
