Course overview

This January start course is the perfect opportunity to move into the agricultural sector and will enable you to experience practical work on the college farm.

The purpose of this qualification is to develop the transferable skills, attributes, and behaviours needed for you to progress to further study and ultimately to employment.

The course is designed to be delivered in an applied way, with an emphasis on demonstrating what you can do. You will be required to complete one written portfolio to accompany one of the units you study.  The other is assessed by a multiple choice, externally assessed, exam in Health and Safety.  The qualification brings together appropriate content with practical, technical and theoretical skills.

Presently there may be the opportunity to choose the area which may include Crop Production or a unit concerning the Care of Animals or their Movement, handling, and Accommodation and you can discuss the possibilities with the team on application.
