This course aims to help learners and Health & Social Care professionals to develop their skills and knowledge around Mental Health and Disorder. 

This is a 1-day course, 09:30-15:30, face-to-face with an online assessment to be completed remotely. 

Completion of this course comes with an accredited qualification and certificate recognised in industry.

  • Understand the concept of mental health
  • Promoting mental health
  • Understand the concept of mental disorder
  • Understand societal attitudes to mental health and disorder
  • Learners should identify and explain how the Mental Health Act 1983 (updated by 2007 Act) and the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Equality Act 2010 are designed to prevent discrimination and promote fair treatment
