Course overview

The Extended Diploma in Information Technology consists of 13 units to be studied across 2 years.

Amongst the subjects studied will be Information Technology Systems, Creating Systems to Manage Information, Using Social Media in Business, IT Project Management, and Cyber security. You will be assessed via a mix of coursework, controlled assessments, and external exams.

You will study the technical, creative, and business uses of IT.

You also have the opportunity to attend national trade shows, including EGX Rezzed, part of the London Games Festival, where students will have a chance to discuss working in the games industry with professional developers and find out about university courses related to developing games.

You will be offered the chance to take exciting new on-line qualifications offered by ‘Codecademy’. Examples of the topics covered by these include HTML, CSS, Python and Ruby.
