Course overview

The T level in Media, Broadcast and Production is new for 2023. The specialist pathway focusing on events and venue technicians is aimed at anyone that wishes to pursue a career in stage management or as a stage, sound or lighting technician.

This course will provide you with an overview of creative and design core skills and workplace practices to develop your skills and prepare you to work in the sector or progress to University. You will explore your digital creativity and apply it to solving problems relating to a range of productions. You will study; event production planning, learn practical skills in sound and lighting for events and venues, work as part of a team to plan an event/ production,  examine cultural contexts, audience and consumer needs, and legislation and develop research skills alongside responding to industry-standard briefs.
