Learn the Essentials of First Aid for carrying out forestry, and prepare yourself to deal with First Aid Emergencies
This course is a combination of Emergency First Aid at Work and Forestry First Aid Course (F). You will learn the skills needed to respond to emergencies in forestry workplaces, how to deal with a first aid emergency, reduce the risk of accidents, and manage incidents on-site.
The two-day course will cover the following subjects:
- Roles and responsibilities of a First Aider
- The unconscious casualty
- BLS + AED
- Choking – Adult and infant
- Eye injuries
- Burns & scalds
- Shock (Hypovolemic)
- Extremity injuries
- Wounds & bleeding
- Catastrophic injuries and treatment
- Hypothermia
- Limes disease
- Falls from height
You are required to attend the full two-day course, and on completion of both practical and written assessments, you will gain the EFAW + F qualification which will be valid for three years.
