Each week you will be guided to use a variety of different painting and drawing materials and processes to describe and observe plants and flowers. You will be encouraged to explore and find subject matter from the horticultural gardens at the Suffolk Rural Campus whilst taking an experimental approach to the art you make. Each week we will discuss a variety of contemporary and historical artists to find inspiration for your own interpretations of the subject matter.
Beginners and improvers are welcome and this course is open to everyone regardless of ability.
This course will involve drawing and painting in different areas of the horticulture gardens and poly tunnels as well as being class room based. Some activities will be outside and you will need to be able to sketch or paint in a variety of settings. Seating will be provided however if you struggle with fairly good mobility or health please speak to us directly first. Students may also require waterproof clothing and umbrellas at times.
Enrolment End Date: Please note that the enrolment for this course closes 5 working days prior to the start of the course. Unfortunately it is not possible to process late enrolments after that point.

Our refectories will not be open, so you may wish to bring your own refreshments with you. Drinks vending machines are available on campus.
