Course overview

This course aims to help learners and Health & Social Care professionals to develop their skills and knowledge around Dementia, and Dementia care. During the course you will identify the signs and symptoms of the most common forms of dementia and how they impact an individual and what support may be needed.

This is a 1 day course, 09:30-15:30, face-to-face with online assessment to be completed remotely. 

Completion of this course comes with an accredited qualification and certificate recognised in industry.

  • Understanding dementia 
  • Different ways of viewing dementia
  • Common causes of dementia
  • How individuals may experience dementia
  • How to support people with dementia

Assessment will include practical components in our state-of-the-art Health Science campus, as well as an online suite of assessments to which you will have access.
