Drinking Ceremonial Tea has been a tradition popular in China for over 900 years.
The Chinese believe that Tea is Medicine and in the Tea Ceremony, you connect with nature whilst drinking aged Pu Erh tea.
A full sensory experience awaits as you hear the sounds of the water boiling and the tea being poured. You’ll smell the freshly made tea and taste the exquisite flavours as you hold the delicate china teacup in your hands.
The simple act of making a cup of tea is Meditation and in this Tea Ceremony, you will experience a deep sense of relaxation as you observe your thoughts coming and going.
We will start with the history of tea ceremonies in China and Japan, followed by 3 or 4 servings of tea. The Tea Ceremony is silent but there will be a chance to ask questions at the end and to reflect on your experiences.
