Course overview

The Level 2 Certificate in Garden Design has been designed to enable learners to develop the underpinning plant knowledge and drawing skills required to enter the garden design industry.

You will study the following units as part of this qualification;

  • Garden Design Process
  • Graphics and 3D studies for garden design
  • Plant Knowledge
  • Planning for Garden Design
  • Plant and Soil Science
  • Plant Selection and Care

To study this certificate, you will be required to attend college for 1 day per week, for a full academic year.

 

Additional Costs

PPE (steel toe capped boots, wellies, gardening gloves, outdoor clothing).

You will be able to purchase a garden design accessories pack from the college’s online shop. This package will include items such as a professional drawing compass, technical drawing pens and set squares which you will need on a weekly basis. You are welcome to purchase these items externally and your tutor can provide you with a list of what is required. Your tutor will also be able to support you on where to locate these sundries.
