    Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification including a pass in maths and English at Grade 4(C).

    Course Overview

    This course is based at our Ipswich campus.

    This study programme is an ideal progression course for qualified Level 2 Beauty Therapists who wish to develop a range of specialist practical skills and technical knowledge, which will equip them to seek employment or further training in the beauty and spa industry. This programme builds upon your current skills and covers a wide range of practical skills and knowledge required for working in the beauty and spa industry. You will learn how to enhance your treatments using a selection of high tech specialist equipment within our fantastic salon facilities in ‘The Zone’, and you will provide clients with treatment packages linked to our state-of-the-art spa.

    Areas of study will include promote and sell products and services, body massage, face and body electrotherapy treatments, dry spa treatments anatomy, and physiology, with further areas of study in stone therapy treatments. Throughout your training programme, you will be required to carry out treatments on peers and paying clients, demonstrating your ability to meet the national requirements in a number of practical and theory-based units. To gain this qualification, students will successfully achieve all elements of the course including one externally-set synoptic theory examination and one externally-set synoptic practical examination, optional unit assessment, engaged and evidenced employer involvement.

    Using work-related learning opportunities you can further develop your skills, leading to many exciting career opportunities with employment options in health spas, cruise liners, leisure facilities, or as self-employed therapists.

    Course Highlights

    Learn to carry out complex beauty treatments to high standards, working on clients and using premium products and brands. Deepen and extend your understating of the body’s anatomy & physiology. Trips are available, with the possibility of going to a spa where you can experience a luxury spa session, and talks about future career prospects with professionals. You will undertake meaningful activity with employers and within the local community during your study, alongside the mandatory 35 hours of work experience.

    Next Steps

    You can progress onto Higher Education or into a range of beauty therapy roles within the industry, such as a beauty or spa therapist. Further opportunities could occur as an educator, assessor, training academy employee, manager, or salon owner.

    Tuition Costs

    No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2020.

    Additional Costs
