    You must be aged 19+, GCSE maths at grade 4 and above (grade A* - C), Level 2 assessment in English Language if not already achieved at a grade 4 (grade C) and above, interview and suitable reference.

    Course Overview

    The study programme is designed for those who wish to progress onto a degree programme and you must be aged 19+ at the time of enrolment.

    The study programme includes 60 Level 3 credits which will be made up of:

    Introduction to Higher Level Maths, Computer Networks, Introduction to Web Technologies, Introduction to Computer Programming, Electronic Principles, Emerging Technologies, Selecting and using programmable controllers and a Research Project.

    There is also a study skills unit which will help you prepare for academic writing, researching and preparing for presentations

    A variety of assessment is used which includes essays, reports, group projects, workbooks, presentations, exams, portfolio evidence and a research project.

    You will be in College for 2 days for the Diploma plus half a day for the English GCSE if you need to take this.

    All students who have not achieved a grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English or maths will need to study these subjects alongside their chosen qualification.
