    Course Overview

    Learn the techniques used in modern building methods that will prepare you for working as a skilled bricklayer. The learners will learn about complex work such as decorative brick patterns, angled brickwork,chimney stacks and fireplaces. All teaching will take place in our fully-equipped workshop and classrooms under guidance from highly qualified and experienced staff. You must pass all practical and theory elements of the programme to achieve this nationally recognised qualification. You will be expected to find work experience.

    All students who have not achieved a grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English or maths will need to study these subjects alongside their chosen qualification.

    Course Highlights

    On this study programme, you will have the opportunity to improve and develop your skills in our workshops. There is the chance to show off your skills and participate in competitions, such as Skill Build, World Skills, and other national and local competitions. You will also visit a variety of exhibitions and construction sites, as well as working on community projects outside the College. The study programme will also develop your personal, social, and employability skills. You will learn about the trade and find out how you can get a job with support from the team and local and national employers.

    Tuition Costs

    No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2022.
