    Course Overview

    This course is based at our Ipswich campus.

    BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Applied Science

    This course develops learner knowledge in the core sciences essential for progression on to the Level 3 Forensic and Criminal Investigation course and in relevant science-based careers.

    There are 12 units covering the core sciences and specialist units.

    U1-4 are Level 1/2 BTEC First Award in Principles of Science.

    U5-8 are Level 1/2 BTEC First Award in Application of Science

    Unit 1 and 8 are externally assessed.
