This AAT award offers students at level 1 the opportunity to develop practical bookkeeping skills. This qualification will particularly suit those students who have had minimal work experience or students who would like to test their abilities before progressing further with AAT.

AAT does not set any prerequisites for the study of this award, however the ability to communicate information clearly and appropriately to a given audience is a valuable skill. For the best chance of success, we recommend that students begin their career with a good standard of English and maths.

The skills developed in this qualification will give students a solid base from which to seek employment with greater confidence or enable them to progress to the next level of learning.

The qualification is assessed in one end-of-unit assessment.

    Course Highlights

The level 1 award introduces students to business accounting skills and manual bookkeeping.
