You will have empathy for young people and the personal presence and the ability to challenge inappropriate behaviour and manage difficult situations. Excellent communication and administrative skills are also essential.
It is desirable you hold a qualification in youth work, or the willingness to work towards one, alongside a first aid qualification or willingness to undertake training within 6 months.
