Temporary Technician in Animal Studies
Up to £20,916 per annum, pro rata
37 hours a week, fixed-term until 1st August 2023 (will include weekend work)

We are seeking to appoint a temporary Technician to support the care and wellbeing of our range of animal species on site during the summer period.

Our large animal centre houses a wide range of mammal, reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish and invertebrates. This is an exciting opportunity to work with them and support our learners in their career aspirations of working alongside animals. This post will include weekend work to maintain the health and welfare of the animals on site.  Alongside this you may be required to take animals to the vets, and medicate where needed, assuring animal welfare needs are met at all times.

You will have a passion for engaging and motivating young adults, demonstrating innovation and subject knowledge to provide an exceptional experience. You will be able to support learners with the care of animals and enable them to achieve their full potential.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Rural Campus However Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
