Teacher Development Co-ordinator Directorate of Quality, Teacher Development and Student Progress
£35,289 to £39,624 per annum,
35 hours per week
This is an excellent career opportunity to join the Teacher Development team at Suffolk New College. This role will require you to support the Directorate management team in leading on the operational and strategic aspects of the professional development and support for staff and be part of the Initial Teacher Training Team.

We are looking for an individual with enthusiasm, drive and creative ideas to work with the team in developing innovative development and support for staff that impacts positively and ensures an exceptional learner experience.
Working closely with the Head and Director, you will pro-actively support, lead and develop staff to deliver an exceptional student experience.
You will therefore need to be able to demonstrate:
- Expertise in the curriculum areas of the role with access to relevant external networks;
- Experience of working with young people aged 16+;
- Experience of coaching and facilitating CPD
- Excellent team work;
- Ability to build and develop sustainable relationships and networks with internal and external partners;
- Creative and innovative approaches, which deliver an exceptional student experience and student outcomes.
As part of this role you will also be required to undertake teaching for Initial Teacher Training and observations of trainee teachers, therefore you should also be able to demonstrate proven teaching expertise in a related subject area and a profile of good or better lesson observations.
You should also hold a relevant degree or professional qualification, a master’s degree (or willingness to undertake one), Maths and English at level 2 or equivalent, alongside a teaching qualification at level 5.
This post is based at Suffolk New College, Ipswich. However, Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
