Short Course Specialist Tutor (ESOL)

Vacancy overview

Up to £38.63 per hour

Part-time, hourly paid

This is an exciting opportunity for a keen and enthusiastic candidate to join the ESOL teaching team at Suffolk New College. The post will support the college’s expanding provision for adult learners who have English as a second language.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver part-time ESOL courses to adult learners. These could be at the Ipswich campus or on location at an external venue and therefore transport will be essential for this role. The hours will be flexible depending on need and will be agreed in advance of any course dates.

A good standard of education including Maths and English to Level 2 (GCSE C or 4 grade) is essential for this role along with at level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area. A teaching qualification is an advantage but for the right candidate the College can support the achievement of this.

This College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. As part of our on-going commitment to Equality and Diversity, Suffolk New College guarantee to short list all applicants from a black or ethnic minority group who meet the essential criteria and all applicants with a disability who meet the essential criteria.  All appointments are subject to Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
