Safeguarding Manager
Up to £34,872 per annum
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
We wish to appoint an experienced safeguarding professional to this new role, to manage and oversee the work of the College’s Safeguarding Team and to ensure the delivery of an effective and robust safeguarding service.
You will be learner-centred, with a sound understanding of the current issues that are faced by and affecting young people, with practical experience of managing high level safeguarding casework.
Your career history should demonstrate significant impact over time in safeguarding children and young people. Ideally, you will have experience of managing a team where safeguarding is / has been the main focus of your role. In addition, you should hold a relevant Degree or be able to show demonstrable experience within an appropriate industry / charitable sector.
We are looking for potential, not an exact match. We recognise you may not meet all essential criteria but if you have relevant experience, the ability to manage competing priorities, excellent communication and networking skills and can work as part of a team, then we would love to hear from you!
This post will be based at either the Ipswich or Suffolk Rural Campus (the successful candidate will be able to choose). However, with Suffolk New College being a multi-campus college you will be required to work at and travel between campuses.
