HR Business Partner
Up to £37,182 per annum
This is an excellent career opportunity to join the Human Resources team at Suffolk New College working across our four campuses. Working as a senior member of the HR team you will be responsible for delivering a pro-active, professional customer-focused, effective, efficient service to internal and external customers, which drives business performance and contributes to achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
You will be the HR lead for a portfolio of Directorates and Departments providing advice, guidance and support on all aspects of HR activity. Working in partnership with senior management of each area, you will drive organisational culture and improve performance through effective solution-focused decision-making, pro-active and creative thinking and the pragmatic implementation and delivery of policy and process.
You will therefore need to be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- build and sustain effective and credible working relationships at all levels;
- take a solution-focused approach to problem-solving;
- offer advice which aligns to business objectives and strategy;
- take a risk assessment and evidence-based approach to decision-making;
- use coaching skills to promote ownership and accountability;
- communicate effectively and with confidence at all levels.
You will have the overall management responsibility for the Senior HR Advisor, HR Advisor and HR Assistant and you will ensure the services for your portfolio are delivered to a high standard and in accordance with the policy and procedure and employment law.
As an experienced HR professional and manager with experience of managing a broad range of complex casework within a unionised environment, you will have excellent employment law knowledge and be committed to delivering best practice and driving cultural change. You will hold a degree or equivalent with Level 7 CIPD and Maths and English at level 2.
This main base for this post is the Ipswich Campus, however Suffolk New College is a multi-campus, therefore you will be required to work at and travel between campuses.
