Head of Teacher Development and Quality Improvement

Up to £45,654 per annum

35 hours per week (includes some teaching hours)

 

This is an excellent career opportunity to join the management team at Suffolk New College.

You will be responsible for leading teacher development and quality improvements by proactively supporting and developing teaching staff to ensure a high-quality learner experience through exceptional teaching, learning and assessment in all settings.

Working closely with the Director of Quality, Teacher Development and Student Progress you will assist in the development and implementation of the College’s Teaching Learning Assessment and Tutorial Strategy and be the college lead for, and teach on, the college’s Initial Teacher Education provision.

As part of this role you will also be required to undertake some teaching hours, on the initial teacher training programme and therefore you should also be able to demonstrate proven teaching expertise in this area.

You should also hold a Master’s degree and relevant degree or professional qualification, maths and English at level 2 or equivalent alongside a teaching qualification at level 6 alongside the ability to manage, inspire and motivate staff.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich Campus.  However Suffolk New College is a multi campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
