If you are person-centred, passionate about inclusion and ambitious about securing fantastic outcomes for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), then this could be the opportunity for you!
You must have sound working knowledge / understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2014).
Ideally, you will also have a good working knowledge of the requirements for education providers around exam access arrangements and reasonable adjustments.
You will have a good standard of education including maths AND English at GCSE 4 / C grade or equivalent, a relevant degree OR equivalent experience of SEND.
Ideally, you will hold a Level 7 Specialist Assessment and Access Arrangements qualification or demonstrate a commitment to complete (subject to you meeting entry requirements).
We are looking for potential, not an exact match. We recognise you may not meet all of the essential criteria but if you have experience of SEND, initiative, good communication skills and can work as part of a team, we would love to hear from you.
This post is based at our Suffolk Rural campus in Otley, however as Suffolk New College is a multi-campus college you will be required to work at and travel between campuses.
