Parents, Family and Advisors
Suffolk New College understands that parents, carers and advisors take a very important role in the development of a young person’s education. That’s why we want you to be involved as much as possible throughout their college experience.
In the 2010 induction survey taken by the first year students;
95% of students felt that Suffolk New College was a safe and clean environment to learn in.
93% of students knew who to talk to when faced with a problem.
98% of students understood what behaviour was expected from them as students of Suffolk New College.
92% of students knew their targets and the routes by which they could get there.
95% of students felt that they were on the right course.
Students choose to study at our college because they know we will give them the skills, practical experience and support they need to succeed, and of course the opportunity to study in our new state of the art building and facilities which opened for teaching in September 2009.
Who says? Well…
Students do. 94% of the hundreds of students who complete their courses each year would recommend the college to their friends.
Ofstead and Ali inspectors do. At their most recent visit, we were graded as ‘Good’.
External experts do. Students achieve a number of local, regional and national competitions, prizes, awards and honours each year. As well as the continued success of our students, in 2010 Suffolk New College was named as the winner of the Archant Suffolk Business Award.
