CASE STUDY

“I came to Suffolk New College from Thurleston High school. As I’ve always liked working with cars I knew what I wanted to do when I left school. I’m enjoying the course – working on the cars is great. The students and teachers are friendly – we have a good laugh. There are lots of opportunities particularly in body spraying. I’ve recently refinished a Focus ST bonnet which included sanding down, priming, filling, applying white gloss, meshing up stripes and then applying black gloss.

Doing a body repair course opens loads of doors for future job opportunities. When I’ve finished my second year I’m looking to go in to the body repair or customisation side of the motor industry.”
