This broad general art and design programme of study will challenge you to explore experience and develop your Art & Design potential through exciting and creative activities. These activities will allow you to develop your own sense of creativity and direction you wish to specialise in.The art and design qualification assessed throughout the course and supported by a structured and enriching Tutorial and PSE programme that helps you develop your employability skills.
GCSE qualifications are available alongside the main programme where required. An ideal applicant has a keen interest in Art & Design is energetic, committed, and enthusiastic. You will have the opportunity to top up the 114 Credit Diploma to a 220 credit Extended Diploma on successful completion of the course. The course is graded Pass, Merit and Distinction.
4 GCSEs at grade C (must include C English) or Level 2 equivalent and subject to a portfolio interview.
This programme of study has fantastic progression rates onto the Extended Diploma which will then allow you to progress to higher education or work.
You will be taught by tutors who are specialists in their own fields that can offer you up to date advice and insight into the creative industries.You also have the chance to experience different projects in a variety of disciplines within art and design. All students will enjoy trips to galleries and art events both locally and in London
Students who complete this course may progress on to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design or on to Higher Education (with significant UCAS points).

No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2016

There is a £70 trips and materials payment to cover the cost of our national trips programme and specialist workshop materials.
