The study programme is designed for those who wish to progress onto a degree programme and must be aged 19+ at the time of enrolment.
This study programme includes 60 Level 3 credits.
There are 12 credits in Chemistry, 12 credits in Biology and 12 credits in Biological and Cognitive Psychology. There will also be a 3 credit unit in Physics and 6 credits for a Research Project.
The Biology units include: Anatomy and Physiology, Health and Disease, DNA and Cell Replication. The Chemistry units include: Biochemistry, Chemical Principles and a Chemistry Investigation. The Psychology units include: Biological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology and Psychological Research Methods. The Physics unit will be Radiography based.
There will also be a subject based Research project.
There will be additional study skills units in Communication Skills, Improving Own Performance, Academic and Examination Skills.
A variety of assessment is used which includes essays, posters, case studies, presentations, exams and portfolio evidence.
You will be in College for 2 days for the Diploma plus 2.5 hours for the English or Maths GCSE.

You must be aged 19+ at the time of enrolment. You must have a GCSE grade C or above either in English or Maths. You will be required to complete a paper based screening assessment for the subject in which you do not hold a grade C or above. Entry onto the course is also conditional on passing this assessment. If you do not have English and Maths GCSE at grade C or above, you are advised to apply for the part time GCSE English and/or Maths courses.

The study programme offers Level 3 Science units as well as study skills units to help prepare you for university.

A number of students gained places at University of Suffolk and others have places at ARU, Essex, Bournemouth, Bristol, UEA, Swansea and Hertfordshire.
They are studying degrees in Adult Nursing, Child Nursing and Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery, Bioscience, OTP, Paramedic, Psychology, Holistic Therapy, Radiotherapy and Radiography.
