Our engineering courses offer the opportunity to carry out practical activities in a realistic workshop environment. All classroom-based theoretical units are delivered by highly qualified and experienced lecturers who support you in learning to work safely and effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources and materials.
You will have the opportunity to attend various exhibitions and meet with a range of local employers, allowing for the potential for future work placements or further education at a higher level.

Our study programmes are mainly practically based, so you can expect to learn through a hands-on approach in our modern engineering workshops.
You will develop your underpinning knowledge and related practical skills in a range of engineering subjects and through interactions with local employers who will share their knowledge and experience with you.

Learners also get the opportunity to attend various exhibitions, such as the Duxford Engineering Technology Skills Exhibition.

During your time with us, you will also expand your personal, social, and employability skills; which include opportunities to work on community projects and explore the various career pathways within the engineering industry.

Engineering Workshop

Our engineering workshop is industry standard and aims to introduce learners to the continually expanding world of mechanical engineering.

The workshop includes CNC lathes, drilling machine, guillotine and precision hand tools.
