LONG SERVING EMPLOYEES

20 members of staff celebrated over 25 years service to the college at a celebration lunch held on Friday 10 July 2009. They were joined by members of Suffolk New College Corporation, Senior Leadership Team and friends of the College.

 

These colleagues have accumulated over 561 years of service in total to Suffolk College and now Suffolk New College, with 15 of the 20 employees having worked at the college for more than 30 years. Among the 20 celebrating were two members of the Senior Leadership Team, seven members of the Business Leadership Team and one Corporation member. The longest serving member of staff at the College is Lecturer in Business, Leisure and Information Technology Bob West who has been at the College for 37 years followed closely by the Deputy Principal Marilyn Watsham who has been with the College for 36 years.

 

Professor Dave Muller said: “I would like to thank all these members of staff who have dedicated their time to the students and young people over the last 25 years. They have provided more than long service; they have given dedication and the commitment to the college and the students is outstanding. During this time there have been many changes with the development from Suffolk College to Suffolk New College and they have shown professionalism whilst continuing to provide an outstanding learning environment.”
